I have a question:
You can list items in marketplace with “fixed price” or “auction”.
In both methods you determine a starting price.
After which you can bid on an item.
So I’m not sure if i understand the difference?
Maybe this is how nft marketplaces work in general?
My assumption was that you can not bid om fixed priced items? Or is this incorrect?
Or do i have to see “fixed price” as a desired price and one can make aan offer (that is lower then fixed price)? And the seller can decide to take it or wait for better offers?

Fix Price - you can bid higher prices and you receive it directly after the sale
Auction is like eBay you have a start price and don’t know where it goes till the end

@Fox_Coin In your demo you showed how to mint a nft. im just asking, is it possible to mint more nfts with the same “picture”? i always thought is not possible but after this demo im not sure …

It’s great we can connect fx wallet to the market place and even store our nfts there (in talks atm) but I do like this idea and hope it goes through.
Will there be an on-ramp shortcut link or natively allow users to load up fx? Eg buy fx direct?

I couldn’t see the Highest bidder highlighted when a person is actually the highest bidder. What I mean is that it’s represented by the wallet long address and not simply “you are the highest bidder” saying this because being user friendly for the long road ahead is always a good thing for a total new user. Maybe I missed it today.
I hope it runs much faster as you’ve pointed out it would, with the new version.

Also this is maybe something fxdm can think about aiding with future projects on fxcore, especially long term community member projects.

there are some few general things that i can answer you from my nft and marketplace knowledge since i am using most of the current market leaders…
this would be possible if an on ramp payment processor accepts FX. like moonpay or others… https://blog.gilded.finance/the-best-crypto-on-ramp-apis-in-2020/ but this is a work to be done by functionx foundation @indra not from fox. after a partnership is established it should be relatively easy to implement.
maybe it could be implemented on marginx with a workaround @zaccheah . eg most payment processors accept btc/eth/usdt/dai and others… there could be a ramp on calculated with usdt or dai for example that will directly swap over the dex pair and the customer will “directly” receive FX for it. this could be easier to implement than getting an actual partnership for fx exclusive.
yes that will be nice, but this current version shown in the presentation was already faster than the market leader opensea. This thing they are building is really good.

for the auction nft: when time runs out and someone snipes at last minute the nft in front of your eyes. Does this person get the nft or do you use the 5 minute rule?
5 min rule: If a bid is placed within 5 minutes of the closing time of a lot the closing time will be extended with 5 minutes . This process will repeat itself till no bids are placed anymore.
Sorry I do a lot of “regular” auctions… so like to know

since the days go by and we see fox gaming evolving and developing their marketplace to a “state of the art” product we have to go into us and think about what this means and what chances this offers to the function x team and community.
This Team around @Fox_Coin has developed a really good product which is almost ready to launch on fx core and will do so with ther next product aswell (the card game) and they came far even without an egf funding.
We, as seed investors, and the team got this all covered this far. And we should give a thanks to @Fox_Coin that he kept up his promises to get the makretplace started in a timely (right after fx core is ready for it) manner and in a quality that is not there on the market yet.
It is all in OUR hands as Validators AND Delegators to make this project a success to bring the community and the FX ecosystem to the next level.
I want to reach you all… all Validators… and the Team…
we saw at the daoverse proposal that the governance wasnt working as good as needed and we delayed this project for years by not reaching the quorum.
Which is totally unacceptable, @zaccheah @DavidK . Voting against it would have been ok. But not reaching the quorum showed how broken this ecosystem is…
I hope that if @Fox_Coin will get to the Proposal someday later this month it will be reaching the quorum. It is the duty of all of us to vote, even if we vote against it… the Quorum has to be reached…
i personally think that IF this proposal with a real good and already perfectly working product will fail, then this will be the end of any public development on FX core and the biggest hit the ecosystem could take…
please be aware that everything is fragile in this crypto world, mostly the communities…
thats why i ask, no i actually demand that everybody, regardless if small 500 FX holder or big fish 1M+ background holders have to vote…
I personally would like to see a governance change that every validator that does not vote will get a 50% cumulative penalty for all minting at each missed voting…
But for now… guys, gals and all in between… we have to unite and make this ecosystem to what its worth… and let us finally use some of the egf or community spend pool money to actually get this going…
