FX x ZooGames [UPDATED]

Love that…
Are the 30k$ reimbursable for the pair or an incentive ?

These 30K$ are incentives for LPs farming on the vZOO/FX pair.

Thanks for the feedback! Just a quick clarification that the proof of concept will be to illustrate what ZooGames protocol can do once connected to FXcore. The mechanics highlighted in the proof of concept can then be included in the main game project.

Wow, I really love the pictures you posted. the environments and the honest toast mine, so cool.

i like the whole proposal but your teams art abilities are super rad.

Anyways, is 120k enough? i dont know much about game dev, i guess its only 90k +30k for LP.
If thats enough then great. The effort on these proposals has been quite good, so id imagine you guys can get it done.

im excited for milestone phase 1 with the minigame on fxcore. seems like it might be just around the corner.

looking forward to hearing or seeing more! good write up!

From what I see, I’m ready to vote YES on your proposal…
Do you have plans for communication and social media around this partnership and the new game ?

Hello, oh absolutely. A few examples would be Twitter announcement(s) + twitter spaces/AMA + maybe some live demos following game development + extra content along the way. Inter-chain awareness, promotion and co-operation would also be in focus and an emphasis across the FunctionX, ZooGames, and Wanchain communities.

Hi @Tarestyles, curious about the sustainability of the platform.

How will the game generate revenue to sustain further updates in the future?

  • Will the game have its own way of generating revenue? If so, will it be solely through skins/comestics? If there are others, please do list them.
  • After the game is completed, will the team provide continuous updates to the game so players can enjoy newer maps and other features?
  • Once the game is completed, will the team require more funding to do continuous updates to the game?

Asking this to clarify because by then, the game should have its own way of generating its own revenue to sustain both its company and provide further updates to the game to further attract both new players and excite existing players.

Those are definitely important questions to ask. Thx for asking.
We’ll be taking a cut from in-game transactions and FXGORA transactions (about 2% in total), and that money will be pumped back into the game for cool updates like new maps and cosmetics. We’re also considering other sources of income that will be added later on(Infinite possibilities).
The 120k we’re raising is solely for game development. ZooGames has other revenue streams that’ll keep us going in the long run.

But let’s be real, games have a limited lifespan, right? If there’s gonna be a second episode someday, we’ll need some funding, no doubt about it. But that question will arise in 3-4 years if the game is successful.

Thanks for the reply!

Will the details of the cut be published officially?

Yeah, for sure! We’ll have a thorough internal discussion about the cut, and we’ll keep everyone informed throughout the game development process.
The beta phase will be crucial for fine-tuning the ratio, and we’ll definitely listen to the community to ensure a fair and effective distribution of the game revenues.

Hi team,

I think it is great to see the concept that you want to bring to Function X and we are very excited to welcome you guys.

Regarding the proposal, I still believe we need to add more metrics to it.
As an example, we can add X users / transactions needed per milestone before the fund can be unlocked. I think it will be fair to show the team’s commitment to promote and bring usage to the game & NFT marketplace on Function X as well.

We can refer to Fox’s proposal or the new upcoming proposal by Baklava Space (with 3 tier TVL milestones, thanks to @FrenchXCore who suggested it to them).

Looking forward to hear from you.

Thank you.

Hi Indra,

Thanks for your thoughts on our proposal. We get what you’re saying about tying funds to user or transaction milestones. It’s a solid idea in a lot of cases, and it’s a good way to make sure we’re all in this together.

However, for our specific project, we believe that these metrics may not be the most suitable indicators of success. Our project’s nature and goals are such that user or transaction numbers at early stages might not accurately reflect the value or potential of what we’re building. We’re focusing on creating a high-quality gaming experience and a robust NFT marketplace, and these efforts might not immediately translate into large user numbers or high transaction volumes

That said, we’re totally on board with showing our progress and being accountable. We’re open to chatting about other ways we could measure how our project is doing and when to release funds. Maybe we could look at things like how far we’ve got with development, how engaged our community is, partnerships we’ve made, or other stuff that’s key to our project.

And just to reassure you, we’re definitely planning to bring in new users once the marketplace and the vZOO/FX Liquidity pool are up and running. We’ve got a solid base of over 4,000 holders who are ready to bring liquidity to FX, and we’re going to do everything we can to get this community involved in growing Function X.

Looking forward to chatting more about this and finding a way forward that works for everyone.
