Temperature Check: upgrade f(x)Core and rebrand Function X to Pundi AIFX

Meow, since fx project is exploring AI and going for a rebranding, cat think changing the new token ticker will help new hodlers discover new fx.

Cat proposes AIFX or FXAI.

Well, decisionā€™s already taken.
Now, time will tell.

for the parts I can answer, PUNDIX wonā€™t have delegation as it will be on the new PUNDIX-FX network which is governed by the new main net coin PUNDIX-Fx as the current (FX) validators & delegators as they are now only with the new ticker.

so delegation wonā€™t be there for PUNDIX - I gather Staking or LPs will become the new thing there
PURSE will have many new ways created to earn those in the eco-system.
there is no concern about current Validators / Delegators funds on PUNDI X Chain, no need to worry about any actions yet; there will be plenty of notice for it when the time comes, continue as is

token quantity is still being revised, setiment at the moment would say some prefer it to stay as is.
the proposal may request a change reading Zacā€™s answers iā€™m now confused if their talking an increase or decrease, we will need the info update to come to know for sure on that one, but itā€™s undecided.

nothing said about the FxWallet name - personally donā€™t know if changing that would be wise, but this is about re-branding so @zaccheah may chime in on that one

Supply: FX >>> PUNDI FX

Wha do you prefer?

Iā€™m not gonna vote right now.
Thatā€™s because i have no clue about the pros and cons.
Hope someone can explain to me in simple words.

Is it e.g. just a tactical / psychological advantage for trading on exchanges to do a 1:100?
Does it have any technical advantages, like transaction speed etc?

Iā€™m With Jan, until there it a write up of proā€™s & Conā€™s of the FX supply change, by itā€™s self for clarity. Iā€™ll reserve my vote.

Hi guys,

regarding tokenomics, itā€™s important to remember

  1. Nothing changes for $PUNDIX

  2. Changes for $FX

  • $FX swap to $AIFX due to chain merge
  • NO dilution
  • Ample time to swap
  • Simple and easy steps to swap
  • 100 $FX is 1 $AIFX (pending exchange approval)

Proposed Token Migration (Ticker and Supply Change)Notes:

Before After
Chain Name Function X Pundi-AIFX
Token Ticker (proposed) $FX $AIFX
Circulating supply (estimated) 735,000,000 7,350,000 (pending exchange approval)
Maximum supply 1,893,022,625 18,930,226.25 (pending exchange approval)

To reiterate

  • We are combining two chains to one called Pundi-FX chain (main chain f(x)Core and L2 PundiXChain into one)

  • We are NOT combining tokens: $PUNDIX, and $FX will remain separate after rebrand

  • The tokenomics will remain largely the same (see first post), and NO dilution is happening.

  • VERY IMPORTANT, build a stronger use case and vision, more updates soon and read AI post.

Adenddum from Space

  • In X Spaces, I had mistakenly quoted that 1 $FX is 100 $AIFX in instances, it should be 100 $FX is 1 $AIFX.

Answers to queries below:

Maybe itā€™s an opportune time to consider, same goes for other ecosystem services such as starscan, maybe it should be pundiscan. Letā€™s discuss this down the road after we nail the main rebrand first.

There will be NO option for $PUNDIX to delegate to the new chainā€™s validator, however $PUNDIX will be incentivized through farmings on MarginX, to make sure hodlers continue to earn. Details later.

This ticker was brought up internally, I must admit is cliche-ish but catchy.

Correct.

Actions right now by team:

  1. AI research
  2. communication with exchanges
  3. governance voting if exchanges green light
  4. Media outreach
  5. core community discussion (essentially this thread)

after spending many years building the Hodl I have I think dilution of that will feel wrong, even at 10 for 1 would fell like years of delegation was for nothing, even though there is no loss of % to supply in your wallet and the value will equal the same until the dust settles, for me I would rather the supply stay as is, If itā€™s about Branding I thought the point was making the ticker relate to PUNDIX, AiXIDNUP is PUNDIXiA backwards.

Thank you for clearing out the 1:100 - 100:1 discussion.
I was confused by the different posts and sounds here and there. So we have that clear nowā€¦

For now i go with @LKYBOB, for me it will be a more emotionional thing and still not sure whatā€™s best. I want to vote on logical basis and not emotional.
Although the pundix redomination for me did very well and gave opportunity to profit largely (for wich i am for ever gratefull), i can only hope that fx wise it also will work out well.

Anyway, i have a great trust in team, we are in good hands!

The pundix split was already 1:1000 and it was of absolutely no use. just to encourage the saleā€¦ now you want to reduce the other token to leave with some profit? If you do a new split it will be a new robbery

Why is it always reduced? and it doesnā€™t expand??? The decision to change the supply is a theft. for both reduction and enlargement.

Jan redenomination caused you to sell Pundix before or after redenomination because you did not believe in further growth above $10, so you gained. After redenomination the price only went down on Pundix while the rest of the market continued the bull market. I emphasize that I am not accusing anyone of anything, I am just stating a fact. I remember even Zach was surprised by how people reacted to the redenomination by selling out

Improvising by changing the rules of the game and supply makes a project unseriousā€¦ it only brings sales as has happened in the pastā€¦ I think it is a deliberate theft

People always turn the tables, as if they forgot how it was, thatā€™s why they keep making the same mistakes. They keep doing the same thing expecting a different result.

Theoretically, if thereā€™s no dilution, the token price shouldnā€™t be impacted.
However, from a psychological perspective, it always is (because market is 100% about psychology).
Also, people having to swap once again makes nonsense to me. I donā€™t see the point in redenominating FX.
The New PUNDI-FX network could afford a 1:1 FX conversion rate. Having the price grow 100x at the same Time everything changes would probably push a lot of users to the exit (psychologically speaking).
Just my 2 ctsā€¦

Iā€™m not saying the NPX redenomination was a bad idea, it was just done at the wrong time. It should have been done at the end of the bull market. When it comes to fx, you donā€™t have to change the amount of resources, supply fx is good. You donā€™t pump up the price of a token with a redenomination. Thatā€™s a very irresponsible approach.7 million fx supply will not make the price go to 100 or 1000$

It seems that people are not interested in the utility of the token, only in a nice logo and name, this can be seen from the meme buyout. Changing the name FX to AIFX and a nice logo will give more benefits than any other action

Donā€™t get me wrong, i believe in this project big time, long time suporter.
And i still have the majority of my bag, just took some nice profit, i think itā€™s wise to do so when oportunity arises :slightly_smiling_face:.
Nobody or nothing forced me to take this profitā€¦ it was just logical and never regretted it.

yes many of us did well, I wish now I had taken a whole lot more I could of but silly me I was being kind to the market, that proved to be the wrong personal decision, but like you Jan mine was a tactical one because we where the early buyers and not among those blaming the project for doing something wrong, took profit because we knew the pull back was coming. naturally
