Temperature Check: upgrade f(x)Core and rebrand Function X to Pundi AIFX

Anwyay, vote started on July 27th and ended on Aug 3rd !
It’s a bit late to update the proposal description.
Moreover, there are only 28 votes (including validators).
I think most delegators trust their validators over their decision (result = 87,9% YES).

I’m sorry that I’m writing so much criticism, I understand that the crypto project is not a family, no one is keeping me here by force, but I had great hopes for fx, it’s hard for me to give up on the project seeing where it’s headed

Don’t worry for that…
This piece of information is indeed important and should have appeared in the proposal description. However, that’s too late to promote it, and sincerely, IMHO, that wouldn’t have changed the result.

Regards,
@FrenchXCore

To be fair, it was announced on Twitter, Telegram, Medium, and the redomination was also addressed in the latest AMA on 26th X Spaces.

My vote was yes, follow the data in the proposal on the reduction.

You can understand that there will not be this 100:1 reduction.

Tokenomics:

The tokenomics of both tokens will remain unchanged - NO dilution, NO increase in minting. AIFX will continue to have the same function as Function X original utility in $FX in Function Xs mandate in our 2018 blog post, such as native gas token for Pundi AIFX and Governance proposal including EGF/CSP governance proposal voting.

This is the voted proposal, just read the Tokenomics topic:

Below, as written there will be no changes

Execution Plan:

After this proposal is approved, we will kick off the merger process and announce the final steps required from community members. The team is currently working on support for centralized exchanges, and further updates will be posted on the official blog and channel.

Starscan Forum Link:

A reduction of 100:1 does not mean the tokenomics are changing if there’s no dilution. It just means the new token (1 $AIFX) will be worth 100 times the value of $FX (100 $FX).

Many changes, network integration, new fx token, new name, are you also considering changing the AIFX logo to make it more attractive? If you want to change it all at once, I suggest using the f(x)wallet logo. If you want to change it all at once, let fx have a new face

Since you are in contact with all the exchanges cmc and coingeko this is an opportunity to change it finally because if not now there will be no better opportunity. Let fx not be associated with this old logo which lacks creativity

a main concept is to re-brand and update the image as all PUNDIX, the contract and recreation of the coin change over is the harder part with the new ticker installed, the rest are cosmetic of course they will do what their able but it’s not super critical to be finished, but i get your point the new image of everything launched at the same time would be Ideal, I did mention the app wallet name and logo and it’s was not on their list of priority’s, so everyone pitching in with idea and even design’s will take load of the project already busy schedules

F(x)wallet doesn’t need a logo change, and the name is OK. It’s about a simple AIFX coin logo change. A wallet, a network, and a coin with one strong recognizable logo. It’s just a simple image change, probably not hard. The old fx logo tells users I’m retired. Give this logo some life, it looks dead

Dear Pundi community,

It’s been more than 4 months since I shared in this discussion thread on 14 June 2024 the idea of rebranding of Function X’s f(x)Core to Pundi AIFX and doing a redenomination.

In late July, we submitted a governance proposal #61 for the rebranding of Function X to Pundi AIFX and in early August, the community voted overwhelmingly for the rebranding proposal. A lot has happened since then.

Once the proposal was passed, the team quickly got to work. Our first big event was Token2049 Singapore, which was only a month away. We wanted to announce to the world that Pundi AIFX is the new omnichain Layer 1 Network for AI applications. We decided to host the deAI Summit during Token2049 and invite leading AI founders and practitioners to share their expertise and experience with our attendees. We had founder Greg Osuri from Akash Network, VP of Ecosystem Tiffany Lai from 0G Labs, Head of Woo Innovation Hub Emily Lai from WooX, APAC Developer Ecosystem Lead Ian Chong from Circle, and many others. The event was packed and even after the panel discussions had all ended, people still hung around to have conversations.

In August and September, we also launched one of Asia’s first AI Innovation Fund as well as the AI PitchFest to support and back innovative AI startups and projects. Applications are still open!

What’s also happening behind the scenes is the tech and product team is busy working on an innovative new AI product–the Pundi AI Data Platform. It sets out to revolutionize the way that data is currently being tagged and annotated. In addition, given that the team has built and is building a number of AI products, the team decided that an umbrella brand to hold all our AI products is needed. Hence we decided that everything should fall under the Pundi AI brand, which will house the Pundi AIFX chain, the Pundi AI Data Platform, and our AI social collectional tool Purse+.

Throughout these few months, we have done a series of Twitter/X Spaces (see below) with our community to clarify the vision of Pundi AI and what we aim to achieve. We also addressed valid concerns from our community regarding the tokenomics of the $FX and soon-to-be $AIFX token, emphasizing that there will absolutely be no dilution of token supply from the redenomination. For further info on $AIFX read the first post above this thread. At the end of the day, what the team wants to achieve is: build useful AI products and ensure that our token has the best utility and value capture.

What’s next? At the moment, the team is busy preparing for the Singapore Fintech Festival in early November. We plan to demo our new AI Data Platform and onboard corporates who are keen to use the platform for their data needs as well as announce the winning applicants of our AI PitchFest.

Here is a quick summary of what we have done since May 2024

Onwards and upwards!
