Yes you are correct, the problem is a stuck situation, where Coinbase won’t act on the Projects best solution because this will cause issue with how regulations see them in that country but they need to act in the best interests of all parties not the dam regulators; CoinBase should be asking for an exemption in this case if this is whats holding them back from doing the swap, the project can’t open the contract to go back to the way it was because the contract can be re-violated.

At the end of the Day CoinBase fail it’s customers, because they understand the impact if the contract is opened, and by now they can certainly see the result of closing it, so their inaction from this point deepens the void.

They are the one’s in control of the funds - so they are the one who need to make the final move to resolved the situation for all parties involved.
If it was simple; it would of been over yesterday, but it’s not, debating who’s in the wrong will not change anything, pressuring the project to expose the contract to the hacker by opening the contract " Can NOT and will " NOT " happen.

Pressuring legal action is doing nothing more than exasperating the situation and rising tension in others, but that’s the intent of those people doing that. Ploy’s to completely flatten the market failed in my eye’s; true supporters held the line, buying while other are fearful; a well known term for market wise OG’s, the market will recover it’s clear to see there is strong support.

People need to stop trying to make each other feel guilty, everyone cares if the situation is resolved.

one thing I don’t understand is, At one time an exchange could isolate a individual, so to me i’m confused why this can not be done, the only thought that comes to mind is; if the contract is opened it means that is every where; which means Coinbase customer or not the hacker will have a field day if it was reopened & probably all his hacker friends who are all now all well aware, thus why the contract can’t be opened because the hacker can not be isolated.
if that is the case believing if you get your funds you could beat the hackers out through the market - you can trust that your up against unbeatable odd’s.

the only best restoration of any value is to have coinbase swap your FX to PUNDIAI. in FX your at the mercy of the hacker - they have no feelings for you.

@indra If communication with Coinbase is still ongoing, are you able to share when you last heard from them? Thank you.

I have asked for updates, there is little the project can tell people about sensitive details of their conversations. know that action is always being pressured forward. note that their correspondence may not be daily so I wouldn’t be expecting changes of info in quick succession.

Hi, it is ongoing, we have sent a few follow up response on August 29 and Sept 1.

Great to hear

As of this morning…when are you going to tell coinbase you never planned or plan to re-enable the FX contract. Why not just tell them?

Have to be kidding your self if you think coinbase don’t know why that contract can’t be opened.

Coinbase has been consistent in its communication: it will not support the swap. That is its role — an exchange either lists or delists a token, but it does not design or execute swaps.

The project, on the other hand, controls everything else:

  • the smart contract,

  • the swap ratio,

  • the mechanics of how old tokens are redeemed,

  • and the deadlines for participation.

Coinbase has already said what it is waiting for. The ball rests with the project. Right now, the project appears content to leave us holding an unredeemable token.

I hope they reverse course; but seems unlikely.

maybe instead of being war mongers, you should push Coinbase to hand over the wallet details of holder, I “think” thats all the project would need to maybe do something for you. the project is fully willing to sort this out, but it obviously can’t come at the cost of opening the contract, I suggest you seek a resolve that “dose not involve” opening the contract, because the persistence in wanting the contract open only points to you being the hackers wanting it open.
because if it is open No one wins is my understanding.

That is the FX team’s job to find a solution. The reason everyone keeps mentioning the contract being opened is because Coinbase has made it clear that is the only option. I would be very happy if the FX team convinced Coinbase to explore other solutions to take care of the users who have lost thousands.

that’s not true though, I’ve spoken to the team there are technical solutions, given to coinbase, if you want to believe all their feedback that’s your prerogative, but there are more than 1 solution, 1 is not an option that’s opening the contract - got this in your head yet!,

the project cannot relay their confidential conversations.

The project seems not be able to relay much of anything. Three weeks later and the best we get is “we are talking”.

Okay so, I only know of this forum here to keep track with the news of this situation. Is there any other forums we should be following to check for updates of this? Sounds like this will be a long haul and I want to keep track of this from time to time.

once the situation is sorted there will be notification on all PUNDI media news page outlets.

Twitter & this Forum are main news carriers, But you’ll probably know before they know as exchanges don’t give the project any special heads up, they keep everyone in the dark until their done. so your wallet will probably tell you first.
