Pundi AIFX Rebranding

not just a symbol dude, It’s a new advanced direction in computer science and we are embedding into the future of technology, please go do some simple research of what the projects advances are, this is about the ticker

I’m personally disappointed this has not already been selected & promoted to it’s full extent, makes me feel like my efforts for the last 6 month’s has been for nothing; anyone who knows me would know my efforts are extensive in making sure people understand our ecosystem.

I think you didn’t read
This post is only about coin ticker as @SCENE said not about any technology.

Hey guys, let’s keep it constructive and to the topic.

The main idea for changing the ticker is to simplify the connection between both Pundi X and Pundi AI while not causing more confusion.

  • We want the users to know Pundi AI is related to Pundi X
  • But we also want the ticker to be able to represent itself and its category, AI.
  • Do note that f(x)Wallet will rebrand to Pundi Wallet as well.
    – Apple iPhone / Apple iPad / Apple Watch etc = streamlined naming.

Pundi X = $PUNDIX = Payment
Pundi AI = $PUNDIAI = AI
Pundi ?? = $PUNDI?? = Future in-house products

Having the ticker the same as the project name lead to lesser confusion.

Cons: Too long
Pros: Direct name relation since it’s same name as the project

So ultimately, we have the option to choose the advantage that outweigh the disadvantage accordingly.

In this case, it’s long ticker vs direct relatable name.

Feel free to suggest other tickers too if you have some good ones in mind!

$PAI is another option, but it will take more time and effort to introduce a new ticker name.

$PUNDIAI feels more natural to me. Imagine reading about Pundi AI and wanting to search for the ticker, you can easily find $PUNDIAI, even though it contains many characters.

i prefer PAI (Pai) over pundiai short and crisp
only drawback i think is people might confuse it with Pi which is of pi network. which on the other hand might help as people searching for pi may stumble upon pai and dig more deeper.

I don’t care what the ticker is, should of been sorted before all the current events, time wasted that could of embedded the ticker with all the communities over the last months.

Currently, I just think all this continuous rebranding is gonna bring confusion, a sense of loss and random management impression.
For example, rebranding of Elrond ($ERD) into EGLD ($EGLD) and now MultiversX finished in loosing implicated investors. And I’d just like to remind everyone that FX and PUNDIX don’t have many implicated investors.
So, let’s do something and stop changing the location of the decimal and the ticker name all time long… That’ll only drive us to loose trust of investors.

Hey guys,

Thanks for the thoughts above, valid points worth considering.

When we began rebranding, $AIFX was a natural name as the omnichain is Pundi-AIFX, hence natural for the token to be associated with the chain. And @LKYBOB puts it -“Pundi AI has the data platform and the AIFX chain where we will onboard AI projects on it”

After doing a PR campaign push, we then realised that when people saw Pundi AI, they ape into $PUNDIX rather than $AIFX. Such is the world of short attention span. Hence if I were to pick something now, I would go for $PUNDIAI frankly. When a would-be token holder searches for either Pundi X or Pundi AI, they start by typing “P-U-N-D-I…” and there will be two tokens options that pop up, and with that he will be able to pick properly.

IRT brand equity @Malcolm_Caldwell , I feel we should centered around the Pundi brand as it is still strong amongst OGs. When we go to IRL conferences, Pundi still carries the weight (than FX), hence we should garner on what we have the strongest. The idea is to carry the rebranding fro both FX and the ticker, making it PundiAI.

Thoughts?

So if that is the plan then why did you go with fx then aifx. Why didn’t you go pundi as this is the brand you want to be associated with.

In this rebranding you completely ignore fx.

There is nothing on fx and we are completely left out.

Didn’t deliver a penny since its launch.
Didn’t work on community building just jumping one narrative to another.

Truly disappointed.

Actually regarding this, I did mention that this will definitely happen 6 months ago in May on Whatsapp before the rebrand announcement - based on human psychology aka my area of expertise.

I like your logic, but I don’t think it matters, the known token is PUNDIX, I believe it doesn’t matter what you call it the known market will get the recognition, later when we get some momentum back the main net will come into focus whatever the ticker, getting the changes done & getting the recognition happening & getting PUNDIai or whatever it called onto Binance on chain coin; asap might build the acknowledgement, it’s time too get moving - debate the timing all you like but I’d rather turn up to a party while it’s still kicking.

Wow are you apostle or prophet
You can read future

Thanks for your reply

Hey community, I added a poll to the original first post!

Do vote with Yes/No - for the ticker $PUNDIAI!

Godspeed.

Just one thing !
Would that mean that the new FunctionX would focus exclusively on AI annotation, and would not be linked anymore to decentralized payment (as potential PUNDIX gas) ?

Could not find the link … can you please share if you have it handy.

No, that’s not the case.

I think AI will be Function X’s main focus moving forward but it still operates the same as a L1 blockchain which means any DeFi lego projects can build on it.

I’m pretty sure the team is still open to any categories of crypto builders.

The focus is on AI since it will be the main driver in the near and far future since AI is the only use case that can be integrated into literally every and any aspect of any category.
